Hi, my name is...

Megs here, your esthi bestie! I wanted to use my first blog post to tell you a little about myself and what I hope to be sharing with you on my blog. My goal is to use this space to educate, recommend, and talk about all things skincare and brows. I love what I do and I love helping others achieve their beauty goals and see real improvements.

I have been an esthetician for 5 years now and honestly have loved every minute of it. When I first went to beauty school I had no idea what I was doing and my skin showed it. I was using all the wrong products, not following a regular regimen, and definitely over plucking my brows. Within the first few weeks, I fell in love with the industry and couldn’t get enough of it. Funny enough I actually hated doing brows and thought I’d never been able to do what I do now.

If you would have told me years ago my most popular service was brows, and not just waxing but threading, I would have laughed and laughed. When my instructor told me eventually I would develop “the eye” for it, I thought she was crazy. I never thought I’d be able to just look at a set of brows and know what needed to be done to frame the face, balance the shape, and get those gorgeous clean lines. Thankfully I was wrong, sometimes some brows may test my skill but all in all I feel that I do finally have “the eye”.

Although I do feel like I’ve finally come into my own with my skills I still fully believe in continued education. Not only am I a sucker for learning but it really does help build confidence. Education is key in this industry, it’s constantly growing and changing and so should any good esthetician. From magazines to in-person training I am always hungry for more.

But with all that education my favorite use for it is helping all my lovely clients. It’s tough to navigate skincare, makeup, etc alone today. There is just so much on the market and without help from a professional, it would be all too easy to waste money on all the wrong things. I absolutely love recommending products, treatments, and especially brow design.

This career is not just a job to me, it is my passion. I look forward to coming into the salon every day. I love meeting all you wonderful people and watching our relationships blossom and bloom. I thank each and every one of you for supporting my dream and continuing to make it a reality.
