why I revamped my menu
I noticed the frequent questions of what to book and knew it was time to switch things up. Instead of having more options for everyone's needs I went the reverse; I simplified. Three main services and an all in one combo. Then utilized Vagaro’s add-on feature, now instead of keeping track of every little thing. The client can then start with a foundational appointment and add on to make it more curated for their needs.
My niche is brows but I also offer lash lifts. In an effort to simplify and educate, I swapped out brow lamination for brow lifts. I noticed I was telling them the difference between the services but then explaining they're the same during their appointments was confusing. The science is so similar it seems silly to differentiate them in that way. Saying brow lift and lash lift it gets the point across that lift and elevates the eye area. And shows that there is a similar process by grouping them.
Also, as a brow specialist I like the idea that brows are the foundation they can build up from there. Tinting is popular but doesn’t need its own stand alone appointment, it's not typically done by itself. It makes sense to show that they can book a brow shaping appointment and then also get a brow tint. Instead of them seeing a brow tint appointment and you getting messages asking if they also get their brows shaped during that appointment.
Simplicity is not only helpful for the client but it’s a nice way to showcase exactly where the cost is coming from. Brow shaping is $25, tinting is $20, so the total is $45. This helps give transparency on what their paying for. It may feel like something they don’t need to know, but as you’re building trust in your client-professional relationship— transparency is key.
