your 1st brow appointment

When I see clients for the first time, they’re nervous. Sadly, more often than not they've had bad experiences in the past. I’m hoping to change everyone’s mind when it comes to threading. If done properly, it can be a great experience!

Prepping for the appointment can also help with your experience and results. Unlike waxing, you don’t have to stop using skincare products. Yet, some prep can help make the hair removal more comfortable.

Regular appointments, every 4-6 weeks, can help reduce discomfort. It also helps get hairs on a more even hair growth cycle. This is why your artist recommends not tweezing or trimming your brows in between appointments. Plus, we love a full grown out brow!

Communication is important in any relationship but especially between an artist and client. When threading, hand positioning, shaping and expectations all need to be clear. Trust me, your brow artist wants nothing but the best for you and your brows. Just be honest about what you want and bring photos if you’re not totally sure.

Excess redness can be expected at your first brow appointment, but a little ice or a cold roller can help reduce that. I also offer a little spritz of my signature lavender water spray post hair removal. If you experience little red bumps in the areas of hair removal don’t panic.

Some experience what mimics an allergic reaction post hair removal. Taking allergy medication can help reduce this, though speak to your doctor before trying any new medications. (I am not a doctor and this is only my opinion and what has personally helped me). Taking it easy and not exerting yourself will also help with this type of reaction.

Lastly, make sure to rebook your appointment to stay on track. Especially if you’re trying to grow your brows out! Drop a comment below if you have any questions about your brows or your first eyebrow shaping appointment.
